Succeed to import the Canadian embryos
Recently, Anbo imported 1600 Holstein embryos from Canadian Pacific Genetics Center. The debut was a Candmark for importing embryos from Canada ever since Chinese government gave the permission to certain Canadian companies in January ,2005.
 

Hebei program
 June,2005,Anbo entered a bid for the program ¡°The Reproduction of 2000 Holstein with the apprication of Embryo Transfer .¡± from Hebei Animal Bureau and won the bid successfully. At present, this program is in process in Hebei Province.

The Techniques of Embryo Transfer in Holstin of 2004 Years Achieved Tremendous Successes
Up to December 31 in 2004, under the help of national colleague and the trust of all the customer, through the Beijing Anbo Embryo Biotech center all employee's effort, in the last year, 280 cow were treated with superovulation,1623 transferable embryos were collected and 5.8 embryos were obtained on average. We carried on embryo sexing with PCR to 2530 embryos. 2435 embryos were cryopreservated including 1871 biopsied embryos and 564 intact embryos.2192 frozen embryos were transferred including 528 sexed femal embryos and 1664 non-sexed embryos, with pregnancy rate 40.5% and 48.9%, respectively. A total of 456 fresh embryos were transferred including 327 sexed female embryos and 129 non-sexed embryos, with pregnancy rate 59.3% and 57.7%. We completed the task of transfer this year successfully and received praise from the customer.

With all the employee's effort, our service have spreaded all of the country. The Lamb Delivery Rate of Dorper in Frozen Embryo Breaks 60%
From February 6th in 2004 to May 26th,the center transferred 100 dorper frozen embryos at Shanxi province with laparoscopic technology, 62 lambs were obtained,the lamb delivery rate was 62%.
 

The Pregnancy Rate of Sexed Fresh Embryos is 73.3%
On June 3th in 2004,we carried on the sexed fresh embryo transfer at Heilongjiang,15 embryos were transfered,11 were pregnant, with gestation rate 73.3%.
 

Transferred 3,951 Sheep and Goat Embryos at Many Provinces in 2004
 3951 sheep and goat frozen embryos (Dorset, Suffolk, Texel, Dorper and Boer) were transferred at Shangdong, Liaoning, Shanxi, Neimeng, Sichuan, Beijing, Gansu, Guizhou, and Heilongjiang in 2004.The lamb delivery rates of Jingbian in Shanxi and Chifeng in Neimenggu were 62% and 50%. 355 donors were superovulated, 2338 usable embryos were obtained, among them, 1442 embryos were cryopreservated, 946 embryos were transferred.

Our centre have the right of importing and exporting,obtained the authorize from CIQ(Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China), built a quarantine farm which can contain 3000 imported cow, Austrialia and Canada are our parter, we have the proxy of importing various high quanlity breeder and embryos,such as Holstein,Angus cattle and Dorset,Suffolk,Dorper sheep. In addition, we provide medicine and instrument.
 

The Sexing Embryos of Cow Have Put Into Production
After filled up the blank of producing and transferring sexing embryo in November 2003, Beijing Anbo Embryo Biotech Center, cooperated with embryo engineering center of Xinjiang Gold Cattle Limited Company, produced 1471 sexing embryos of cow from April 28th to May 4th 2004. It indicated that the experiment and demonstration about sexing embryo technique were completed. And this technique went into the course of extending its application and industrialization.

The Expert of Canada Investigated Our Center

From 7th to 18th in May, 2004, Dr. Rich Vanderwal, the CEO of Canadian Pacific Genetics Centre, invented by one of its cooperator Beijing Anbo Embryo Biotech Center, who is one of the expert of Canada bull authentication and embryos transplantation visited our center. The focus of his investigation was our experimental equipments and technique. Then he went to Guizhou , Shanxi, Neimenggu, Heilongjiang province etc. He investigated the situation of embryo transplantation in these provinces, which our center's business were carried out in those provinces. At the same time, Dr. Rich Vanderwal give them many cathedras about embryo transplantation, the management of cow's feeding and animal nutritional supervision etc. And then, he assess the quality of calf which were dealed with embryo transplantation.
Through investigation, Dr. Rich Vanderwal blieved that Beijing Anbo Embryo Biotech Center's equipments and technique attained the same level of the world. The rate of pregnancy was high, the quantity of embryo transfer was mass, the area of our business covered was very vast, and the effect was very obviously. The potential in the scientific research, transform of scientific harvest, and extend the business were very great.

 

4.4 Freezable Embryos are Obtained from Each Sheep
At Aoxing livestock company of Shunyi area, Beijing Anbo embryo biotech center superovulated 19 East friesian, Suffolk and Merino sheeps in April 20. We carried on the superovulation on May 10. The total embryos we obtained are 160, the average of each sheep is 8.4. Among them, the total freezable embryos are 83, the average of each sheep is 4.4.
 

Each Bovine Produce 6.6 Freezable Embryos
On May 15, 2004, Beijing Anbo embryo biotech center superovulated 10 cattles in Chifeng of Neimenggu province. 123 embryos were obtained including 66 freezable embryos. The average of each bovine attained 12.3 including 6.6 freezable embryos
 

The Number of Transferred Embryo of BeiJing Anbo Embryo Biotech Center will Attain to 12,000
From January in 2004 to April, Beijing Anbo Embryo Biotech Center had transferred 3150 cow or sheep's embryos in 15 provinces,such as Beijing, Heilongjiang, Sichuan and so on. Comparing with the last year, the number increased 925,the percent increased 42%. At present, the schedule has arranged to June 25, with the incresing of the number of embryo. We anticipate that the quantity of embryos transplantation will attain to 12,000. The number of embryo will increase 2500, the percent will arrive 26%.
